Alumni Engagement
The Executive Director fosters strong relationships with alumni and friends, encouraging them to actively support the university through philanthropic contributions. This includes:
– Engaging alumni in the life of the university.
– Connecting alumni with each other and the broader university community.
– Strengthening alumni involvement to further the university’s mission.

 

Student Mentorship Programs
Collaborate with academic departments and campus units to facilitate alumni participation in student mentorship programs. These programs provide:
– Guidance and support to current students as they navigate their academic and career paths.
– Opportunities for alumni to give back by sharing their experiences and knowledge.

 

Guest Speaking Opportunities
Create platforms for alumni to serve as guest speakers in:
– Classes.
– Workshops
– Career-related events

Alumni insights and experiences can inspire and guide students in their educational and career journeys.

 

Career Development Initiatives
Work closely with alumni to enhance career development opportunities for students. These initiatives may include:
– Organizing networking events and job fairs.
– Hosting workshops focused on resume writing, interview skills, and career exploration.
– Encouraging alumni to share job opportunities and career advice.

 

Metrics and Evaluation
Regularly track and evaluate alumni engagement efforts through:
– Event attendance and participation rates.
– Alumni feedback and satisfaction surveys.
– Use this data to refine strategies and measure the impact of alumni involvement on the university community.

 

Minimum Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree required.
– At least five years of experience in communications, advancement, alumni relations, marketing, annual giving, or a related field.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills.
– Public speaking skills are preferred.

Here are some key duties:

– Planning and organizing alumni events such as reunions, fundraisers, and networking events.

– Coordinating logistics including venue selection, catering, and setup.

– Managing event registration and handling accounting operations related to event fees.

– Liaising with vendors and suppliers to ensure all event needs are met.

– Recruiting and managing volunteers to assist with event execution.

-Communicating with alumni to gather responses and ensure high participation.

to increase event awareness and attendance.

This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent
communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously. It’s also important to have a good understanding of the alumni
community and their interests.
